SGC Meeting- December/January

The School Governance Council met on Dec. 6, 2022 to discuss Dec. 2022 and Jan. 2023.

  • The School Governance Council met on December 6th, 2022. Mr. Neuhaus shared the plan for final assessments for first semester, as well as the recovery process. He also stated that contracts for next school year will be sent out in January of 2023.

  • Campus security is a top priority for Northview this year, and Mr. Neuhaus had a few updates in that area as well. The new CSA (campus security associate) was hired to begin on 12/9/22. Fulton County has purchased a new badging system for employees which will roll out in the spring. And FLOCK cameras will also be installed on campus. The SCG approved the use of funds for additional equipment for the CSAs, including walkie talkies.

  • Northview parent Mr. Fieldstein discuss the success of the Will to Live presentations for students and parents. Pathways2Life is working with about 75 students to address student stress and mental fitness.
