Gus Vicentini Silva

Gus is a sophomore in high school who comes to school mainly for his friends. He is also in fencing and enjoys practicing and going against his friends to see who is better. Gus is also in multiple school bands, including marching band, normal band, and also jazz band. He is one of Mrs. D's favorites.

Claire is a senior and this is her second year on The Messenger! In her free time, Claire loves to doomscroll (and regular-scroll) on social media, read books, and play videogames. Otherwise, you can find her doing something similarly unproductive.

Ana Michel

Ana Michel is a rising junior in high school and it’s her first year as a part the staff of The Messenger. She’s a three year varsity cheerleader and is excited to bring the same energy to journalism. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and capturing everyday moments through photos and journaling. She’s looking forward to learning new skills and writing meaningful pieces.

Tanya Shriram

Tanya is a sophomore at Northview in her first year with The Messenger. Her interests include playing guitar and baking. Tanya loves listening to music, her favorite artist is Frank Ocean. Outside of school you can probably find her getting boba or hanging out with her friends. She is really looking forward to working with The Messenger!

Olivia is in 10th grade and this is her first year on The Messenger. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, acting, and listening to music. She is excited to learn and grow as a writer throughout the year!

Scarlet is in 11th grade and this is her second year on The Messenger! She has been swimming for 10 years and is on the Northview High School swim team. She likes to listen to music, and take vacations with her family.

Prisha Jain

Prisha is a part of Journalism this school year! Prisha is an extremely hardworking and kind person. In her spare time outside of school, she enjoys to dance and spending quality time with her family and friends, which are two things she values the most. This year, she hopes to try new things and venture out of her comfort zone. Qualities that Prisha value are loyalty, kindness, and quality time. One of her favorite quotes is “Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened.” This quote truly has shaped her mindset over the years to not regret over the past but to instead be grateful for everything she has gained because of it.

Aleez Lakhani

Aleez is a senior this year and it is his first year on The Messenger. He joined The Messenger in hope to learn some new skills and is excited to learn how to write articles and take photos related to sport. In his free-time, Aleez likes to watch and play different sports, especially Australian Football and Cricket. He is looking forward to getting to know the Messenger Crew throughout his last year at Northview.
