Vinaya Abraham
(She/Her)
Vinaya Abraham is a sophomore at Northview this year. This is her first year in The Messenger and she is excited to be a part of the class! She is in 121 Reach as well and loves making connections with all the middle schoolers she tutors. She has a passion for reading as well as writing and is grateful for the opportunity to be a staff writer and have the ability to create new pieces for The Messenger.

Miya Anderson is junior and began her first year of Messenger this year. Miya is also a part of CTAE, including Orchestra and Engineering. In her free time, Miya likes to volunteer at numerous places helping with kids in her community. In the future, Miya aspires to be an architect and is working her way up to college, her dream being Columbia University. Miya is very excited to be a part of Messenger this year and hopes for a great last two years of high school.

Gayathri Baskaranathan is a junior in her first year on The Messenger staff. She participates in competitive dance at K Dance Studio and has been competing in the hip-hop division for the past 2 years. She aspires to be a pediatrician in the future and loves to watch Netflix shows (Never Have I Ever, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, etc.) and bake! She is excited to make an impact on the newspaper this year and improve as a writer.

Chloe is a junior and this is her first year on The Messenger. She loves playing pickleball with friends, reading, and baking. Outside of school, she travels with her family and watches movies. Chloe is very enthusiastic for the upcoming year!

Dylan Gooch is a sophomore and this is his first year in The Messenger. He is a member of the Jewish Student Union and class council. His main sport is baseball where he made varsity his freshman year and plans to continue to build the program. Dylan aspires to play professionally, but as a backup, architecture has always been his calling. He is excited for his future in The Messenger as writing about things he cares about (a.k.a his peers) so it feels like a good fit for him.

Sarah Greenbaum is a junior and it is her first year on The Messenger. She has participated in the journalism program before, and looks forward to explore other areas such as writing and photography. She also competes in mock trial and enjoys engaging in her community.

Megan Johnson is a junior and this is her first year on the Messenger staff. She is a Student Council Representative, and a student ambassador that aspires to go into Digital Marketing and Performing Arts. You may see her on stage during the theatre performances, or making content for clubs and social media.

Hannah Kwon is a senior and is in her second year of Journalism. She worked on The Muse her junior year and is excited to see what she can do for The Messenger her senior year. She's a passionate and creative artist driven by the freedom to express her emotions. It shows in her other classes like Latin and ELA classes. She's a member of NEHS, NLHS, and is the VP of NAHS. Her loud laugh makes her unfunny jokes funnier. She loves exploring as much as she can, so she's dabbled in coding, chemistry, and journalism (which ended up being her favorite). Outside of school, you'll see her doing all things art, doing niche activities with her friends, or binging a K-Drama - watch 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' - while crocheting or painting her nails. She's so excited to be a part of Messenger for her last year here!

Zulfah Muzammil is a junior and has been a part of The Messenger staff for two years. She also participates in Speech and Debate as well as Chinese Yoyo. She is super excited for The Messenger this year and is looking forward to writing pieces with her friends!

Milo is a senior and returning staffer on The Messenger. He is passionate about writing and all things literature, from participating in Northview's Speech and Debate club to reading obscure books about strange houses. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis with his dad, taking photos with his camera, and collecting blind-box figurines. Now that it is his final year in journalism, he hopes to write his best articles, create his proudest designs, and, most of all, make amazing memories to take with him to college. All in all, he is excited to get to know more great people through The Messenger and create stories worth reading.
