Meredith Evans, Adviser

Meredith Evans is the adviser of The Messenger and teaches journalism and American Literature. Her focus is on improving the news outlets at NHS while training her staffers in new ways of writing, photography, and design. She enjoys finding new ways to get outside with her husband and pup, all things tacos and college football.

Our Editorial Staff

Jennifer Xia, Editor-in-Chief

Former Gerber baby and current tater tot fanatic by night, and an amateur photographer and video editor by day (Jen filmed & edited the video above!). She has a huge passion for writing and newsgathering, so it really means so much to her that she is able to share it with others. The Messenger has allowed her to encounter new experiences and share the voices of those around her. She values accurate and thorough reporting along with creative design work to cohesively spread information.

Meghana Ramineni, Editor-in-Chief

Meg enjoys writing and experimenting with graphic design, along with being on a staff that can be both hardworking and fun. She has explored photography as well and enjoys capturing important moments that contribute to stories as a whole. She has been on staff since her freshman year loves to be able to report on what is going on at school and in the community because it means pushing the boundaries of her comfort zone and interacting with new people as well as presenting information that anyone may find interesting, relevant, and informative.

Melissa Liu, Managing Print and Design Editor

Melissa enjoys writing for the Messenger because her fellow staffers are like a second family, and it gives her the opportunity to work with different people, a challenge that has broadened her perspective and forced her to improve her communication skills.

Grace Peng, Managing Online and Social Media Editor

Artistically inclined and fiercely sarcastic sophomore whose least favorite things are musical Philistines and the Oxford comma. Grace’s journalistic passions are argumentative writing, page design, and meeting new people, but she dabbles in photography and vector creation as well.
