For some performers, their greatest role is the one they play in other people's lives. This certainly holds true for Northview High School senior Mallory Hatmaker, whose impact at Northview extends far beyond the stage. As a sister, a friend, and a leader, Mallory Hatmaker has worked diligently through her four years as a Titan, continuously bringing out the best in everyone around her.

Mallory Hatmaker’s is searching for new opportunities to reach new heights. This year, she represents student performers across the state as a State Thespian Officer for Georgia. In this position, she helps plan and orchestrate state-wide events for thousands of Georgia's thespians, spreading her impact and dedication. At the largest thespian conference in the state, Thescon, she is responsible for organization and aiding seven thousand attendees in their performances and auditions. DJ Horton, a fellow thespian officer representing Providence Christian Academy, works closely alongside Mallory Hatmaker.

"Three words I would use to describe Mallory are intentional, charismatic, and true to herself," Horton said.

Both Horton and Mallory Hatmaker have worked incredibly hard to get to the position they are today, and had to undergo a rigorous application process. The key for Hatmaker is to never give up and remain true to herself. Mallory Hatmaker's persistence not only makes those around her feel welcomed and appreciated, but has also helped her advance in leadership and responsibility.

Mallory Hatmaker is not just a leader, but a sister. Her twin brother, Davis Hatmaker, has been a part of her life since birth, literally. He has continuously witnessed her success, admiring her more than anyone.

"As her twin brother, I think the thing I love and admire the most about her is her kindness and caring for others," Davis Hatmaker said. "She'll always treat everyone super kindly, she'll love them, she'll respect them, no matter what."

Last year, Northview students recognized Mallory Hatmaker for her kind and loving spirit when her peers elected her to homecoming court. Getting to represent the best of the best of Northview, Mallory Hatmaker was able to walk the field alongside her family, culminating the hard work and dedication she has put into her work and character during her time at Northview.

You can see Mallory Hatmaker on the stage this year, most recently in Northview's One Act The Velveteen Rabbit, where she portrayed Ben. Ben serves as a narrator and guide to the story, impacting the pivotal ending to the play. She also has worked behind the scenes, serving as front-of-house manager for the spring 2025 musical, Chicago: Teen Edition. A true performer is one who understands the importance of the actor and those behind the scenes. Not only does Mallory Hatmaker understand both, but she has also participated and excelled in both.

Mallory Hatmaker does not shy away from opportunities and distinction, seen in her love and passion for theater and leadership positions. As she completes her senior year and begins the journey away from Northview, can agree that Hatmaker has made Northview a better place. Any Titan who's been able to work with her and learn from her, peer or teacher, understands her impacting extended farther than the stage and even farther than the state.
